Meet the Team
Dr. Laura Creevey
Laura is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the programme and is the primary point of contact for teachers. She is responsible for programme development and delivery including training and workshop facilitation. Laura’s PhD research was based in Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin and was focused on the aggressive paediatric cancer neuroblastoma. Laura’s postdoctoral research took place in RCSI from 2013-2018.
Ms. Kanika Bhatnagar
Kanika provides technical support for the programme. She is responsible for preparing equipment and consumables, organising kit loans and returns with teachers as well as troubleshooting any difficulties teachers encounter during the loan period. Kanika graduated with an M.Sc in Biotechnology and Business from University College Dublin in 2016.

Ms Elaine Quinn
Elaine has joint responsibility for the overall programme and resource management. She has a primary degree in applied sciences and a M.Sc. in science communication. Elaine has considerable expertise in managing science engagement programmes for a wide range of audiences. She also delivers lectures and workshops on aspects of science communication to undergraduate and graduate students in science, medicine and biotechnology.
